Police are investigating whether a firearm was used after a 35-year-old man was found dead at a property in West Lothian on Saturday. Emergency services attended a house on Harestanes Road in Armadale following reports of an injured person at approximately 11:50, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Forensic officers in protective suits were observed at the property, with some carrying cameras as they conducted their investigation. The road was sealed off by police, and ambulance crews along with an air ambulance were also deployed to the location.
Police Scotland confirmed that inquiries remain in their early stages and a post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause of death. One significant line of inquiry focuses on whether a firearm was involved in the incident.

Investigators are also examining whether a vehicle fire in the nearby Netherhouses area is linked to the death. The car fire was reported at 12:00 on Saturday and was extinguished by emergency responders, with no injuries reported from that incident.
