Over 40 firefighters respond to bar fire in Glasgow city centre

More than 40 firefighters responded to a fire at a Glasgow city centre bar on Sunday evening. Nine fire engines were dispatched after the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received reports just after 14:40. No casualties were reported.

Emergency services mobilised more than 40 firefighters on Sunday evening following a fire at a bar in Glasgow's city centre.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received the alert shortly after 14:40 and dispatched nine fire engines to the scene.

Photographs taken at the location revealed that sections of Renfield Street and West Regent Street had been sealed off to the public, with multiple fire crews positioned outside the Bistro and Maltman bars.

No injuries were reported in connection with the incident. Residents and visitors were instructed to keep away from the affected area while emergency response operations were underway.

Road closures remained in place as a precautionary measure, and authorities continued to advise the public to avoid the vicinity until the situation was fully resolved.
