Emergency services have been called to tackle a fire at a recycling centre in Glasgow on Saturday morning.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched three appliances and a high reach vehicle to Shieldhall Recycling Centre on Bogmoor Road after receiving reports at approximately 10:36. The facility handles recycling operations in the city.
Authorities have advised residents in the surrounding area and those further afield who can detect smoke or smell from the incident to keep windows and doors closed as a precautionary measure. This guidance is intended to minimise exposure to any airborne particles or fumes that may result from the fire.
Recycling centre fires have presented challenges across Scotland in recent years.
