A 68-year-old woman died after being hit by a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) on Saracen Street in Possilpark, Glasgow. The incident occurred at approximately 11:10 AM on Tuesday morning.

The woman was crossing Saracen Street when she was struck by an HGV driven by a 58-year-old man. Emergency services responded promptly, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Appeal

Authorities have requested that anyone with information about the incident come forward to assist with the investigation.

Sgt Chris McColm of the Glasgow road policing unit stated:

"Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who died. Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
We urge anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us, external. We ask any drivers in Saracen Street around the time of the crash to check their dashcam footage and please get in touch if it holds anything which may be relevant to our investigation."
