Two Arrested and Charged After Attempted Murder in Paisley
An 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man have been arrested and charged in relation to the attempted murder of a man in Paisley.
Emergency services responded to a disturbance on George Street at approximately 20:00 on Monday.
A 53-year-old man was transported to hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.
The two individuals arrested, an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, are due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court later.
Following the incident, police closed several roads in the vicinity, including George Street at Barr Place, Lady Lane at Argyle Street, and Castle Street at Argyle Street. These roads were reopened on Tuesday evening.
Police Scotland stated that inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
