Man Convicted for 2023 Dublin Attack
A 52-year-old man has been convicted of the attempted murder of three children and assaulting four other individuals in an incident that occurred in Dublin's Parnell Square in 2023.
Riad Bouchaker, who has no fixed address, faced charges including the attempted murder of two girls and one boy, as well as assault causing serious harm to crèche worker Leanne Flynn.
Additionally, he was charged with assaulting two other children and a teenager, and with producing a knife in a manner likely to intimidate.
He was found guilty of all eight charges, which he had denied during proceedings at the Central Criminal Court.
The jury began their deliberations on Tuesday and, after approximately six hours, reached a verdict on Wednesday afternoon.
