Queen Suthida of Thailand achieved a significant aviation milestone by piloting a fighter jet unaccompanied, the Thai Royal Household confirmed.

On 8 October, the Queen boarded a Gripen aircraft at an airfield in Surat Thani province in southern Thailand, with King Maha Vajiralongkorn observing the flight from the ground.

According to the Royal Household, the Queen possesses substantial flying credentials. She has accumulated approximately 1,188 flight hours across multiple aircraft types since commencing pilot training in 2010, establishing herself as an accomplished aviator.
