The assault took place in the Templepatrick Road area of Doagh at approximately 11:10 BST on Thursday. The three suspects, aged 31, 32 and 46, face charges including attempted murder alongside a number of additional offences related to the incident.

The men are scheduled to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday to face the charges. All charges will be subject to review by the Public Prosecution Service before proceeding further through the criminal justice system.

This incident is part of a pattern of serious violent crime in Northern Ireland. Earlier in September, three people were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following two separate stabbing incidents in Newry and Lurgan, while another attempted murder investigation in north Belfast in July involved three men arrested after a serious assault.
