A 59-year-old priest has entered guilty pleas to 109 sexual offences at Londonderry Crown Court. Edward Gallagher, currently held at Maghaberry Prison, faces sentencing in December following his admission.
The offences span a period from 22 June 2023 through 18 April 2025. Among the charges are attempted sexual communication with a minor under 16 years old, possession of indecent images involving children, possession of extreme pornographic material, and attempted incitement of a child to participate in sexual activity.
