Mother Charged Following Infant's Death in Westminster
The mother of an 18-day-old baby who died after falling from a height in London has been charged with murder, police have confirmed.
Zahira Byjaouane, 43, residing on Horseferry Road in Westminster, was charged on Sunday and has been remanded in custody.
Metropolitan Police officers responded to reports at 07:30 GMT on Saturday concerning an infant who had fallen from a height at a residential property on the same road.
Byjaouane is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday, according to police statements.
