Sean Peers has admitted to sexually assaulting a woman who had been rendered unconscious through drugs administered by her husband without her consent.

The woman's husband, whose identity is protected by court order to safeguard his wife's legal anonymity, stands accused of orchestrating abuse at their family residence in the Stockport area of Greater Manchester. According to the allegations, he invited 13 additional men to participate in assaulting her at the property.

Peers, aged 38, was scheduled to face trial at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court but changed his plea on 15 September 2024, admitting one count of assault by penetration.

The husband had previously entered guilty pleas to 60 separate offences committed against his wife. During proceedings, he also admitted to two further charges: one count of rape and one count of sexual assault, both relating to incidents that took place during the summer months of the previous year.
