What is the current status of the investigation?

Authorities are treating the death as unexplained while continuing their inquiries. A Police Scotland spokesperson stated:

The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing, however there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

The absence of apparent suspicious circumstances suggests the death may have resulted from natural causes or accident rather than foul play, though the formal investigation remains open pending further examination and evidence gathering.
