Man denies murdering pensioner found with multiple stab wounds

A 34-year-old man has denied murdering a 71-year-old Polish pensioner found dead in his Dungannon flat in February 2025 with multiple stab wounds. Ryan Patrick Kerr appeared in court and pleaded not guilty; a trial date is expected on 23 October.

A 34-year-old man has entered a not guilty plea to the murder of a 71-year-old pensioner discovered dead in his County Tyrone flat.

Adam Krzan, originally from Poland but a resident of Northern Ireland for more than two decades, was discovered by police in his Lisnahull area home in Dungannon during February 2025. He had sustained three stab wounds to his chest and two to his neck, injuries that proved fatal.

Ryan Patrick Kerr of Derrylattinee Road in Dungannon appeared before Laganside Crown Court on Thursday to answer the murder charge. He rejected the allegation against him.

What happens next?

The case will return to court on 23 October, at which point a trial date is anticipated to be confirmed by the judge.
