A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal house fire in which two people died.
Natalie McDonald, aged 34, and her niece Valentina Foster, aged seven, both perished in the blaze that occurred in Grangetown, a district near Middlesbrough, during the early hours of Wednesday.
According to Cleveland Police, the man faces two counts of murder, two counts of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, and two counts of attempted section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.
The suspect is due to appear before Teesside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday afternoon to face the charges.
