A woman was sexually assaulted on a train travelling between Glasgow and Kilmarnock, prompting police to arrest a male suspect. The incident occurred at approximately 20:30 on Thursday, according to British Transport Police.

The alleged attacker, described as being in his 30s, was removed from the train during the journey. The victim exited at Kilmarnock train station. Following the incident, the man was taken into custody and subsequently released pending further investigation.
