The Conservative Party's former director of campaigning and his wife have admitted to illegally wagering on the timing of the 2024 general election after he disclosed confidential information about when the Prime Minister intended to dissolve Parliament.
Anthony Lee, who held a senior position in the party's campaign apparatus, shared restricted details with his spouse Laura Lee regarding Rishi Sunak's plans to announce the election date.
