A teenager has been charged following the death of a 21-year-old man after a violent incident in Glasgow's city centre early on Sunday morning.
Daniel Colrain sustained critical injuries during an altercation in Royal Exchange Square at approximately 03:05 on Sunday. Emergency services transported him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Monday.
Police Scotland confirmed that a 19-year-old male was arrested and subsequently charged in relation to the fatality. He is scheduled to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court at a future date.

Detective Inspector Jonny MacKinnon expressed gratitude to members of the public who provided assistance to officers. The force indicated that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident continues.
The disturbance resulted in injuries to multiple individuals. A second 19-year-old man was apprehended in connection with the altercation but was released on the condition that he remain available for further questioning as the inquiry progresses.
A 21-year-old man also sustained injuries during the same incident, though his wounds were classified as minor. A 20-year-old male has been charged in connection with the assault on this individual and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on a date to be confirmed.
What happens next?
The 19-year-old charged with the death and the 20-year-old charged in connection with the assault on the second victim will both face court proceedings. Police Scotland has indicated that inquiries remain active and further developments may emerge as the investigation advances.
