Eileen Martin shared an image of a boat sailing serenely down the Union Canal during the Canal Festival at the Fountainbridge basin in Edinburgh.

Eleanor Ammons celebrated the summer solstice with friends on an Edinburgh beach, capturing a photo at approximately 01:00.

"The skyline was sublime the whole evening, which backlit one of my favourite nights in Edinburgh," she said.

Abi Lyall set an alarm for 03:00 to capture the sunrise at Newburgh Beach, Aberdeenshire.

Colin Denholm attended the British Superbike Championships at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife.

John Gallagher captured the three Forth bridges while on a boat cruise in the Firth of Forth.

Helen Turner from Edinburgh described a rare sighting of orcas passing between the Bass Rock and Isle of May.

"We were extremely fortunate to see a group of orcas passing through between the Bass Rock and Isle of May," said Helen Turner from Edinburgh. "It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see such incredible animals in the wild so close to home."

Grant Downie and his dog Rufus visited Eilean Donan Castle in the Highlands.

Boyd Wild spotted a heron fishing in the evening near Kingennie in Angus.

"It seemed used to human presence and allowed me to get quite close before flying off," he said.

Gina Galbraith from Edinburgh took advantage of warm, settled weather to spend the night on the beach at Rattray Head.

"I took advantage of the warm, settled weather to stay out overnight on the beach at Rattray Head," Gina Galbraith from Edinburgh said. "Shortly before sunrise I captured this view of the imposing lighthouse, looking like a fortress guarding the Aberdeenshire coast."
