As Ever and Netflix End Partnership
The Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle brand, As Ever, has officially ended its partnership with Netflix, according to announcements made recently.
Launched by Meghan last year, As Ever was financially supported by Netflix through a separate agreement distinct from the couple's television content deal.
On Friday, both As Ever and Netflix issued statements confirming that the brand will now operate fully independently.
Background on Sussexes' Netflix Relationship
This development follows last year's announcement of a significantly reduced relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Netflix regarding the production of TV series for the platform.
A spokesperson for As Ever expressed gratitude for the collaboration during the brand's inaugural year, stating:
"We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth and As ever is now ready to stand on its own."
Netflix also released a statement, saying:
"Meghan's passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life.
As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently."
About As Ever Products
As Ever is best known for its jam and offers a range of products including rosé wine, teas, shortbread cookies, and flower sprinkles.
Details on Sussexes' Netflix Contract
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a contract with Netflix in 2020 to produce TV shows and films for the streaming platform, with the deal reportedly valued at approximately $100 million (£75 million).
Meghan's lifestyle and cookery show, With Love, Meghan, aired for two series and a Christmas special but did not achieve strong audience reception.
Netflix data revealed that the first series did not rank among the streaming service's top 300 most popular shows during the first half of 2025.
After the original contract concluded last summer, it was replaced by a "first look deal," granting Netflix priority access to any new show proposals from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
