Euston Rail Services Suspended Over Easter

London Euston station will experience almost complete train service suspension over the Easter period due to essential engineering work. From Good Friday, 3 April, through to Wednesday, 8 April, Avanti West Coast services will terminate at Milton Keynes Central instead of continuing to London Euston. This disruption is part of Network Rail's project to replace a major bridge, upgrade signalling systems, and renew critical infrastructure.

Passengers affected by this change will be able to use replacement bus services operating between Milton Keynes and Bedford. From Bedford, travelers can connect to trains bound for London St Pancras station.

Network Rail Statement

Jake Kelly of Network Rail commented on the timing of the works:

"Bank holidays are also among the least busy times on the railway, and the four-day period at Easter gives us a valuable opportunity to complete projects that simply can't be delivered during a normal weekend."
"Passengers will see some changes and it's a good idea for people to check before they travel."

Additional Service Changes

While most services are suspended, a limited number of London Overground Lioness Line trains from Euston will operate partially on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Elsewhere, there will be a reduced train service between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction due to the renewal of switches and crossings.

London Underground and DLR Disruptions

On the London Underground, the Hammersmith and City line will not run at all during the four days of the Easter weekend. The Bakerloo line will face disruptions between Stonebridge Park and Harrow and Wealdstone stations.

Regarding the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), there will be no service between Bank and Tower Gateway, as well as between Poplar and West India Quay, from Good Friday until 8 April.
