Michael Reeves was hospitalised after his knockout defeat by Gary Cully on Saturday night. Queensberry promoter Frank Warren said on Thursday that the Irish boxer is "making progress" after being admitted for treatment in Dublin.
The 31-year-old's condition had been described as "critical but stable" after he was taken to hospital following the fight. Reeves had been contesting the vacant BUI Celtic super-lightweight title, but was knocked out in the 10th round at the 3Arena.
The Limerick southpaw was stretchered out of the ring after the bout. Warren's latest update offered a more positive assessment of Reeves' recovery.

Warren said he and his team had been in contact with Reeves' camp and that the boxer was improving.
"My team have been in touch with Lee Reeves' team and he is making progress. That is what we're hearing and thank the Lord for that," Warren said.
"With Lee and it's all about time. Time hopefully can be a healer."
Warren added that his hope was that Reeves would be able to "get back to his family as soon as possible".
