Champions Wrexham will begin the defence of their Adran Premier title against Aberystwyth Town on Sunday, 6 September 2026, as Swansea City and Cardiff City meet on the opening weekend of the 2026-27 season. Jenny Sugarman's side won 16 of their 20 league matches last term to secure the top-tier title for the first time in the club's history in 2025-26.
Wrexham, who became the first Adran Premier side to win in Europe for seven years by defeating FC Pyunik in July, welcome Aberystwyth at The Rock. Aberystwyth finished second from bottom in last season's Plate Conference. On the same day, Swansea will host south Wales rivals Cardiff after confirming they will play home matches at The ThermaGlaze Ground, home of Garden Village FC.

When do the main title contenders meet?
Wrexham head to the capital on week two to take on Cardiff City at Cardiff International Sports Campus in a clash between last season's top two. The teams meet again in north Wales on Sunday, 17 January, on the penultimate weekend of phase one.
Swansea, who last lifted the title in the 2021-22 campaign, face Cardiff in the second derby of the season on Sunday, 1 November. That game comes after several early-season fixtures that also shape the top end of the table.
How does the league format work?
All teams will face the other seven opponents home and away before the league splits in January. In phase two, the four teams in the top-tier Championship Conference and the bottom-tier Plate Conference will play each of their three opponents home and away.
Phase one concludes on Sunday, 31 January 2027, and phase two is scheduled to begin on Sunday, 14 February. The schedule sets up a long first phase before the division into the Championship Conference and Plate Conference.
