Ben Davies Signs New One-Year Contract with Tottenham

Experienced Tottenham defender Ben Davies has agreed to a new one-year contract, extending his stay at the club until the end of next season.

Davies' previous contract was set to expire at the end of this month, and he was expected to depart the club. However, the 33-year-old Wales international, who joined Tottenham from Swansea in July 2014, will now continue with the north London side into his 13th year.

Throughout his tenure, Davies has been a vital member of the squad. Tottenham's management values his experience and leadership, especially as the club embarks on Roberto de Zerbi's first full season as head coach.

In January, Davies underwent surgery to repair a broken ankle, which limited him to just three Premier League appearances last season. Despite these challenges, Tottenham managed to narrowly avoid relegation to the Championship.

To date, Davies has made 363 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions, contributing 10 goals.

Yves Bissouma to Leave Tottenham This Summer

In a related announcement, Tottenham confirmed that midfielder Yves Bissouma will leave the club this summer upon the expiration of his contract.

Bissouma joined Tottenham in 2022 from Brighton for a reported fee of £30 million and has since made 90 Premier League appearances for the club. The 29-year-old was also part of the squad that secured the Europa League title last year.
