Among those newly charged are five men ranging in age from 18 to 25 years old, two boys aged 16, and three youths. All were arrested and charged on Wednesday. This brings the total number of people charged in relation to the incident to at least twelve, as two men aged 24 and 17 had previously been arrested and charged in connection with the same disorder.

Investigation ongoing

Inspector David Rice stated that the case represents a collaborative effort between Police Scotland and British Transport Police. He emphasised that the investigation continues as officers work to identify additional individuals involved in the disturbances.

Disorder of any kind will not be tolerated and anyone involved will face the consequences.
The inspector's comments underline the police commitment to pursuing all those responsible for the disruptions that occurred both at the stadium and on public transport infrastructure.
