The 17-year-old Monga's arrival was confirmed as a season-long loan arrangement with documentation completed in time, and the club announced the deal on Wednesday following the deadline. Matos will now have Monga available alongside existing wide players Joseph Opoku, Moussa Yeo and Eom Jisung as Swansea pursue their Championship ambitions.
The failed exits of Ronald and Inoussa came after Swansea had progressed negotiations with rival clubs. Brazilian winger Ronald had been in transit to London after the club agreed a fee believed to be £2 million with Millwall, yet the transfer collapsed when personal terms could not be reached between the player and the London club. Inoussa, the former Sweden Under-21 international, was similarly set to depart on a season-long loan to Portsmouth before that arrangement was abandoned.

The collapse of both departures means Swansea retained their squad depth in wide areas despite having recruited fresh talent during the summer window. The Monga deal was the only addition expected before the deadline, with both Ronald and Inoussa exits having collapsed by the time of the final update.
What about Zan Vipotnik?
Uncertainty remains over the future of Zan Vipotnik, last season's Championship top scorer, despite the closure of the English transfer window. Matos acknowledged that the Slovenian forward could still depart because transfer markets in Portugal, Turkey and Saudi Arabia remain open, creating potential opportunities for interested clubs.

Defensive recruitment falls short
Beyond the wide positions, Swansea's attempts to strengthen their defence on deadline day proved unsuccessful. Strasbourg defender Soumaila Coulibaly had been identified as a potential recruit, but the player instead opted to join Watford, denying Matos the defensive reinforcement he had pursued.
