Ronaldo Expresses Happiness at Al-Nassr Amid Future Speculation

The 41-year-old Portuguese forward has addressed recent doubts regarding his future at the Saudi Arabian club, stating his contentment with his current situation.

Reports had suggested Ronaldo was dissatisfied with the management of the club by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), which coincided with him missing three recent games.

However, after his return last week and scoring twice in the latest victory that placed Al-Nassr one point clear at the top of the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo emphasized his desire to remain with the team.

"I'm very happy," the Portugal international told Saudi broadcaster Thmanyah. "As I say so many times, I belong to Saudi Arabia.
"It's a country that has welcomed me very well, and my family and my friends. I'm happy here, I want to continue here.
"The most important thing is we keep pushing [for the league title], we are there at the top. We do our job, we win, make pressure, let's see at the end of the season."

Background on Ronaldo's Move and Club Performance

Ronaldo transferred to the Middle East in December 2022, shortly after mutually terminating his contract with Manchester United. His contract with Al-Nassr made him the highest-paid footballer in history, with an annual salary of £177 million.

Since his arrival, Al-Nassr, a club with 10 league titles, has secured the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup but has yet to add further major trophies.

Saturday's victory advanced Al-Nassr one point ahead of rivals Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League standings. Additionally, the team has progressed to the quarter-finals of the AFC Asian Cup.
