Newcastle United have completed the signing of forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille for an initial £51.4m on a five-year contract. The 21-year-old Belgium international arrived on Tyneside on Monday night to undergo his medical and finalise terms, with the deal officially concluded on 1 September 2026 ahead of the transfer window deadline.
Fernandez-Pardo expressed his enthusiasm following discussions with head coach Matthias Jaissle, stating he was eager to begin his time at the club.

"In terms of my own career progression, it made complete sense to come so I didn't hesitate at all."
