Real Madrid are open to selling 26-year-old France defensive midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni to Manchester United, according to reports on Friday. Manchester United are also considering AS Roma and France midfielder Manu Kone, 25, Brighton's 22-year-old Cameroon international Carlos Baleba, and Bournemouth's 27-year-old United States midfielder Tyler Adams, who is valued at about £35m, as they look to strengthen their midfield.
Arsenal are said to be turning to other defensive targets after an injury to France centre-back William Saliba, 25, with former Manchester City defender John Stones, 32, and Aston Villa's 28-year-old Ezri Konsa among their options. Chelsea are favourites to sign Bosnia-Herzegovina attacking midfielder Kerim Alajbegovic, 18, from Bayer Leverkusen, while Xabi Alonso's side are also in talks with Crystal Palace to sell French centre-back Axel Disasi, 28. Chelsea have also agreed a deal to sign 15-year-old American winger Benji Flowers from Major League Soccer side FC Dallas when he turns 18. Arsenal and Manchester City are among the clubs chasing RB Leipzig's Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande, 19, who previously rejected a £69m bid from Liverpool.

Liverpool and England Under-20 defender Amara Nallo, 19, is set to join Finnish club HJK Helsinki on a season-long loan. Celtic and Japan striker Daizen Maeda, 28, will undergo a medical on Friday to complete his £10m move to Ipswich Town. Leeds United's English winger Jack Harrison, 29, is closing in on a move to MLS side New England Revolution.
Everton are keen on Celtic's Alistair Johnston. The 27-year-old impressed for Canada at the World Cup and is seen as a good fit at right-back at Goodison Park following the departure of Republic of Ireland defender Seamus Coleman. Aston Villa are interested in signing 25-year-old Everton and England midfielder James Garner this summer. Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca remains keen on signing Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez, 25, and France full-back Malo Gusto, 23, from former club Chelsea.

Middlesbrough are finalising a deal to sign USA international midfielder Sebastian Berhalter, 25, from MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps for a fee in the region of £1.5m. West Ham have put together a 'for sale' list, which includes French goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, 33, Congolese full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 28, German striker Niclas Fullkrug, 33, and the versatile Mexican Edson Alvarez, 28, while 26-year-old French centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo is also keen to leave.
West Ham also have a long list of potential transfer targets, including French Chelsea defender Axel Disasi, 28, and Southampton's English centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis, 24. They have also enquired about Celtic's Arne Engels, 22, with the Belgian able to play in a number of positions. Burnley have made a loan-to-buy offer to sign former Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath from MLS side Atlanta United. The 27-year-old Ivorian left Boro for £22.5m in February 2025 after scoring 27 goals in 59 Championship games.
Watford are closing in on the signing of Argentinian Udinese midfielder Martin Payero, 27, while the Hornets are also in talks to sign Spanish striker Iker Bravo, 21, and Zimbabwean international left-back Jordan Zemura, 26, from their sister Italian Serie A club. Charlton Athletic have entered the race to sign English Hull City winger Abu Kamara, 22, who has been the subject of interest from Portsmouth since the start of the summer transfer window. Free agent Nathan Redmond is currently training with Charlton Athletic but the 32-year-old English winger is not close to a deal with the Addicks.
Blackburn Rovers face stiff competition from a string of Championship clubs to sign Sunderland midfielder Alan Browne, who spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough. However, Boro are not expected to explore another deal for the 31-year-old.
