Liverpool have secured the transfer of France forward Bradley Barcola from Paris St-Germain, with the deal valued at up to £123m. The 23-year-old has committed to a five-year contract at Anfield, marking a significant addition to the club's attacking options.

The financial structure sees Liverpool pay an initial £106m upfront, with a further £17m available through performance-related add-ons. PSG had initially demanded £145m for the player, but negotiations resulted in a lower overall package for the Premier League side.

Barcola becomes Liverpool's fifth summer signing, following the earlier arrivals of winger Victor Munoz and defenders Jeremy Jacquet, Ronald Araujo and Ifeanyi Ndukwe. The forward's arrival completes a busy transfer window for the club as they reshape their squad ahead of the new season.

The protracted negotiations reflected the gap between the two clubs' valuations. Discussions had accelerated in late August, with Liverpool pushing to finalise terms after Barcola verbally agreed to the move in late July. PSG's initial asking price of £145m, set in late July, gradually came down through weeks of negotiation.
