Hull City have secured midfielder Tim Iroegbunam from Everton in a £22m package and are pursuing loan and permanent agreements for several other players as the transfer window enters its final hours.
The 23-year-old midfielder completed his move to the Tigers on 1 September 2026 after being granted permission to undergo a medical in East Yorkshire. The deal comprises an initial £13m with a further £9m available through performance-related add-ons, and Iroegbunam has committed to a five-year contract with the club.
Iroegbunam departs Merseyside after two seasons with Everton, during which he made 53 appearances following his 2024 arrival from Aston Villa. Manager Sergej Jakirovic had previously expressed doubt about the transfer after Iroegbunam sustained an abductor injury, but the midfielder recovered in time to complete the move.

What other signings is Hull pursuing?
Hull are racing against the 11pm transfer deadline on Tuesday to complete several additional moves. The club are attempting to secure France Under-20 international Robinio Vaz, 19, on loan from Roma with an option to purchase, and have agreed a £12m deal for Genoa right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy, 22.
Norton-Cuffy, who spent two years at the Italian club, began his career at Arsenal and featured in the England Under-21 squad that won the European Championship in Slovakia in 2025. In a separate arrangement, Hull full-back Cody Drameh is moving in the opposite direction to Genoa for £3.4m after appearing in all three of the club's matches this season.
Forward Ilyas Ansah has also joined from Union Berlin on a five-year contract. The 6ft 4in German Under-21 international, who turns 22 in November, arrived for a reported 15m euros (£12.8m) with a further 12m euros (£10.2m in add-ons available. Ansah scored five goals in 36 matches across all competitions for Union Berlin last season.

Hull are also in advanced negotiations to bring in 19-year-old Olympiacos midfielder Christos Mouzakitis for approximately £13m. The Greece international, who holds 11 caps for his country, progressed through Olympiacos' academy and has made 50 league appearances for the club.
