Burnley Appoints Nicky Hayen as Head Coach
Burnley Football Club has announced the appointment of Nicky Hayen, previously the manager of Genk, as their new head coach on a three-year contract.
The 45-year-old Belgian replaces Scott Parker, who departed the club by mutual consent at the end of April following Burnley's relegation from the Premier League.
Hayen, who managed Welsh club Haverfordwest County between 2021 and 2022, guided Genk to a seventh-place finish in the Belgian top division last season.
"I'm pleased to be joining a club with real history and supporters who care deeply about it," Hayen said on the club's official website. "I know most of them won't know much about me yet, that's fair and it's on me to change it."
