Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly and director Mark Walter have divested their ownership stakes in the club to majority shareholder Clearlake Capital, completing a significant shift in the club's governance structure.
Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss has similarly sold his holding, enabling Clearlake—managed by co-founders Behdad Eghbali and Jose E. Feliciano—to consolidate complete ownership of the Premier League side.
Each of the three departing investors held a 12.8% stake in the club. Clearlake's ownership position has expanded from its previous 61.5% holding to encompass the entire organisation following these transactions.
Boehly, an American businessman, will step down from his position as chairman, a role he has occupied since 2022. He assumed the chairmanship when the investment consortium acquired Chelsea from Roman Abramovich for £2.3 billion that same year.
