Match Abandoned Without Play

The second one-day international between England and New Zealand, scheduled at Northampton, was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent heavy rain.

Originally, play was set to commence at 13:00 BST; however, the toss was delayed until 15:30 because of the weather conditions. New Zealand captain Melie Kerr won the toss and elected to bowl first. Unfortunately, another downpour occurred shortly before the scheduled start of play at 16:00.

The umpires conducted a further inspection of the pitch and surroundings but ultimately decided to call off the match at 16:45.
