Woman Identified After Fatal Dog Attack
A woman who died following a dog attack at a residence has been identified locally as Jamie-Lea Biscoe.
Essex Police responded to a call at Long Hide, located in the village of Leaden Roding near Dunmow, at 22:45 BST on Friday. Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old woman suffering from serious injuries.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police force.
A 37-year-old man from Dunmow was arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control and causing injury resulting in death.
The dog involved was seized by authorities, and specialist officers ensured the scene was secured and safe.

A police cordon remained in place at the house on Sunday as the investigation continued.
Police Statement and Investigation
On Saturday, Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Hooper addressed the incident, stating:
"I know this incident will be a shock to the local community. My thoughts, and those of us all at Essex Police, are with the loved ones of the woman who died yesterday. Experienced detectives are leading the investigation to understand exactly what has happened."
Essex Police appealed to the public for any information, including CCTV, dashcam, or other footage related to the incident, referencing incident number 1419 of 10 April.
Community Response
St Michael and All Angels Church in the village announced it would be joining in prayer and lighting candles on Sunday afternoon in remembrance of the deceased.
