Yes absolutely.she responded.
Background to the trial
The trial began in October 2026 at Southwark Crown Court, with the prosecution presenting testimony from Brand's former assistant and other witnesses. Brand's defence case commenced on 26 October 2026, during which his legal team began presenting their account of events. The charges relate to allegations spanning from 1999 to 2009 involving six women, and Brand arrived at court on the opening day in October 2026 to face the accusations.
Throughout the trial, witnesses have described pain and distress following alleged assaults, with friends of one accuser testifying about her injuries and emotional state following a 2009 incident. In another account, a woman who worked at MTV described Brand shifting from friendly to aggressive behaviour as he allegedly attempted to force her into a bathroom in 2001, saying she felt "bewildered and confused" by the incident.
Brand and his wife have been attending the case together at the London courthouse as the trial continues.
