A ninth man has been charged as part of a child sexual exploitation investigation, following arrests made by Gwent Police across the country on Tuesday. The force opened Operation Oak after women reported abuse committed against them as children between 1985 and 1996.
On Friday, detectives arrested Mohammed Ramzan, from Newport, and have since charged the 76-year-old with seven offences. Police said Ramzan was a British citizen and defined himself as Asian Pakistani.
