Robert Alexander has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 18 years and 298 days after fatally stabbing his wife Christina at least 78 times at their Tamworth home on 23 June 2025.
Christina Alexander, a 60-year-old nurse, was killed by her husband of approximately six years. Alexander, aged 66 and from Ascot Drive in Tamworth, Staffordshire, was convicted of murder by a jury in June following trial proceedings. A judge at Stafford Crown Court handed down the sentence on Tuesday.
Prosecutors established during the trial that Alexander had exhibited patterns of controlling and violent conduct throughout their relationship, which began after the couple connected through an online platform.
