A man has been charged in connection with the death of a nine-year-old girl in Arbroath after police were called to the Elliot Industrial Estate shortly after midnight on Sunday. The child, from West Yorkshire, was found injured and later died at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
Police Scotland said a 35-year-old man, who was known to the girl, had been arrested and is now charged. Officers said no-one else is being sought in connection with the incident.

Officers were called to the town's Elliot Industrial Estate shortly after midnight following reports that a child had been injured while camping in the area. The girl, from West Yorkshire, had serious injuries and was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where she later died.
Police said she was taken to hospital alongside four other people.
