Nigel Farage formally announced Helen Jenner as the new leader of Reform in Wales on Monday, following the departure of Dan Thomas last week. Thomas had stepped down after his arrest on suspicion of assault and controlling or coercive behaviour.
Speaking outside the Senedd building in Cardiff, Farage expressed confidence in the appointment.

Jenner's appointment comes after Thomas resigned from the position following his arrest over the weekend. He was released without charge but chose to step aside to prevent further distraction to the party's work in parliament.
The leadership transition occurred during a turbulent period for Reform UK's Welsh operations. The week saw not only Thomas's departure but also a party member's defection to Plaid Cymru, creating significant upheaval within the organisation's Welsh branch.
As the party's deputy leader and Member of the Senedd for Bangor Conwy Môn, Jenner had been widely expected to take on the leadership role and secured backing from senior figures within Reform UK during the selection process.
