Former police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon has entered the witness box to give evidence in his high-profile double murder trial at the NSW Supreme Court. Lamarre-Condon took an oath and pledged to tell the truth as he began his testimony. He is accused of fatally shooting couple Jesse Baird, 26, and Luke Davies, 29, using his police service weapon inside Baird's Paddington home on 19 February 2024. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and one charge of aggravated break and enter.

The case has drawn significant public attention as it involves a former member of the New South Wales Police Force accused of killing two men. Lamarre-Condon has previously claimed he killed the men in self-defence during a struggle over his service weapon, according to earlier court proceedings heard in September 2026.

His decision to testify marks a critical moment in the trial, as the defence presents its case to the jury. The evidence he provides is expected to be central to his self-defence claim and may address the circumstances surrounding the deaths on that February evening.
