The former Blue Peter presenter moved through to the next round after the judges voted three yeses, keeping him in the contest for the cash prize.
A 50th birthday gift from her fellow Spice Girls, a picture of a dog and a mobile phone were the prized possessions that the judges watched Mawhinney, also known as Joel M, appear to smash with a hammer. But like all magic tricks, everything was not quite as it seemed and moments later the treasured items returned.
