Welcome to The Guardian's live coverage of The Celebrity Traitors 2026 final. After nine episodes packed with revelations and strategic manoeuvres, the competition reaches its climax tonight. By 9:20pm, viewers will discover which contestant has navigated the game successfully enough to claim victory.
The series has delivered numerous dramatic moments throughout its run. Richard E Grant's self-elimination and James Acaster's departure both sent shockwaves through the competition. Tensions have escalated steadily as contestants have been eliminated and alliances have shifted, building towards this decisive evening.
The show has constructed what appears to be a compelling final showdown. Maya Jama, the traitor who maintained her cover through most of the series before stumbling near the end, faces off against Michael Sheen, the faithful contestant whose aggressive approach to identifying traitors—characterised by intense emotional displays—has made him a polarising figure. However, this apparent narrative arc may prove misleading.
Several other contestants remain genuine contenders. Kenny has largely avoided the intense scrutiny directed at other players, slipping through the competition with minimal suspicion. Bash's presence in the game is frequently overlooked by other contestants, which could prove strategically advantageous. The outcome genuinely remains uncertain, with multiple viable paths to victory still available.
The competition has been running since the series launched on 1 October with 21 celebrity contestants competing for a £100,000 charity prize. Kenny's recruitment to the traitor team during episode six significantly altered the game's dynamics, introducing a fourth active traitor into play and intensifying paranoia among the remaining faithful.
