"I'm really looking forward to joining Tigers this season," said Fleming, who has also played for Cardiff and Exeter.
"I believe in the game plan, and I can't wait to see what we can achieve together as a club.
"It's a fresh start, and I'm excited to rebuild and grow as a player at a club whose values I fully align with."

Leicester Tigers' Recent Performance and Expectations

Leicester Tigers finished at the bottom of the PWR table last season, losing all 16 league games. They collected only three bonus points and ended the season 31 points behind second-bottom Bristol Bears.

Fraser Goatcher, Tigers director of women's rugby, expressed enthusiasm about Fleming's arrival.

"Abbie is somebody who is incredibly physical, we're really looking forward to seeing what she's going to add to our defence but also her attacking prowess as well," said Goatcher.
"She's got a great skillset so we're really looking forward to seeing what she brings."

Additional Context

Abbie Fleming was not included in Wales' 2026 Six Nations squad. Her move to Leicester Tigers represents a new chapter in her career as she seeks to contribute to a club aiming to improve its standing in the Premiership Women's Rugby competition.
