Maika Sivo Extends Try Streak in Leeds Rhinos' Commanding Win
Maika Sivo, who missed the entire 2025 Super League season due to a knee injury, continued his impressive form this season by scoring two tries in Leeds Rhinos' dominant victory over reigning champions Hull KR at Headingley. The Fijian winger now boasts 27 Super League tries for the season, including an unbroken nine-game scoring streak with 15 tries.
Sivo's tries came either side of the halftime break, helping Leeds to move two points clear at the top of the Super League table. Chris Hankinson opened the scoring for Leeds, while Jake Connor contributed significantly by converting seven goals, including two of his three first-half penalties.
Leeds led 18-2 at halftime, capitalizing on a period when Hull KR's Rhyse Martin was in the sin-bin. Sivo's first try extended the lead before halftime, and he added another shortly after the break.
Hull KR responded with a try from Noah Booth soon after the restart, but Leeds maintained control. Connor scored Leeds' fourth try before the hour mark, and Ash Handley sealed the victory with a late try.
