Russell Returns for Scotland in South Africa
Finn Russell is set to make his 95th appearance for Scotland as he starts against South Africa in the second round of the Nations Championship.
The 33-year-old fly-half replaces Tom Jordan at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria after recovering from a calf injury that kept him out of last weekend's 47-38 victory over Argentina.
Two additional changes have been made to the Scotland starting lineup. Tighthead prop Zander Fagerson and lock Gregor Brown, who both came off the bench in Cordoba, are promoted to the starting XV. They take the places of the injured Elliot Millar Mills and Jonny Gray.
On the bench, Will Hurd, Josh Bayliss, Magnus Bradbury, and Stafford McDowall have been added. Winger Darcy Graham is among those omitted from the matchday squad for Scotland's first visit to South Africa since 2014.
The replacements also include hooker Gregor Hiddleston, who scored a try on his debut against Argentina, and prop Rory Sutherland, who is poised to earn his 50th cap.
South Africa began the tournament with a commanding 45-21 win over England in Johannesburg. The world champions have made 10 changes to their squad, resting key players such as Siya Kolisi, Eben Etzebeth, Cheslin Kolbe, and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu.
