Cardiff Secures Semisi Paea Ahead of 2026-27 Season
Cardiff Rugby has announced the signing of Tonga international Semisi Paea from Super Rugby Pacific franchise Moana Pasifika as they build their squad for the 2026-27 campaign.
The 27-year-old forward is capable of playing both blindside flanker and lock positions, with the club highlighting his adaptability across the back row.
Concerns have been raised about the future of Moana Pasifika due to financial difficulties, which may lead to the team's dissolution in the near future.

Paea's arrival addresses a key vacancy for Cardiff, especially following the decision of Wales forward Christ Tshiunza to transfer from Exeter Chiefs to Sale Sharks rather than returning to his hometown club.
Cardiff head coach Corniel van Zyl expressed enthusiasm about the signing, emphasizing Paea's physicality and dedication.
