Wales Under-21 Goalkeeper Kit Margetson Poised for Manchester United Transfer
Kit Margetson, the Wales Under-21 goalkeeper, is expected to leave Swansea City and join Manchester United. The 19-year-old goalkeeper is the son of Martyn Margetson, who departed his position as Swansea's head of goalkeeping at the conclusion of last season.
Margetson began his journey with Swansea at the under-15 level. Although he has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Championship club, he gained valuable senior football experience during a loan spell at Connah's Quay Nomads in the 2025-26 season.
With his contract set to expire this summer, Swansea confirmed in May that they were
"in discussions"with Margetson regarding a new contract. Despite these talks, Swansea now anticipate the goalkeeper's departure, with Manchester United expected to pay a compensation fee to secure his transfer.
Stoke City recently signed Swansea's Galbraith for £10 million plus Ingelsson.
