Adran Premier: Swansea Shock Champions Wrexham

Swansea will face Cardiff in the Welsh Cup final in Newport after a notable victory over Wrexham.

Wrexham 1-2 Swansea City

Wrexham, who lifted the trophy at The Rock, were defeated by Swansea City, who will enter the Welsh Cup final against Cardiff with renewed confidence following a win that ended their four-game losing streak. Ellie Lake opened the scoring for Swansea in the sixth minute when her cross from the right unexpectedly found the net. Aimee Deacon extended the lead to 2-0 just before halftime.

Katie Barker reduced the deficit for Wrexham with a finish from a tight angle in the 62nd minute. Barker was then quickly denied by Swansea goalkeeper Amelia Forkings in a one-on-one situation. In the closing stages, Barker had a close-range effort deflected wide. This victory served as a form of revenge for Swansea, who had suffered a heavy 7-1 defeat to Wrexham at the end of March.
