England winger Jadon Sancho has declined a move to Spanish club Getafe despite receiving an offer, with a Saudi Arabian proposal now on the table as he weighs his options as a free agent. The 26-year-old has been without a club since departing Manchester United in the summer, and according to BBC Sport, his rejection of the La Liga side reflects his financial expectations for the remainder of the season.

According to Goal, Sancho requested €3 million net through the end of the season from Getafe. Although the Spanish club's offer exceeded an earlier €400,000 proposal, it fell short of his demands, prompting him to explore alternatives. The Saudi offer has now become the more attractive proposition as he considers his next destination.

What is happening with Sancho's future?

Getafe have halted their recruitment efforts on this particular signing until the winter transfer window opens on 2 January, unless an unexpected opportunity materialises beforehand. Goal reports that the Spanish side will reassess their position in January when the market reopens. Sancho's time at Manchester United ended following a period of private training at Flixton FC in August 2026, where the club clarified that no trial or transfer discussions were underway at that stage.

Paris St-Germain are engaged in contract extension talks with 21-year-old France forward Desire Doué as they seek to secure his long-term commitment. The Ligue 1 club faces competition from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City for the young talent. According to Yahoo Sports, Doué's current PSG contract extends until 2029, and the proposed extension would keep him at the club well into the next decade, though no agreement has yet been finalised.

Everton are considering a move for 28-year-old Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford. The Merseyside club's hierarchy is discussing a possible January move for the striker, with former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness indicating that the option was being discussed "quite strongly" within the club. Rashford has previously been linked with multiple Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham, as well as Barcelona.

Liverpool are in contact with Monaco and Senegal midfielder Lamine Camara, 22, who came close to joining Chelsea during the summer transfer window. Chelsea remain keen admirers of Everton's 24-year-old English defender Jarrad Branthwaite, though Manchester United are also competing for his signature. The Blues are additionally weighing up a move for Spain and Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez, 23, with Paris St-Germain also expressing interest in the player.

What other transfer activity is underway?

Leeds United will attempt to sign Porto's Nigerian left-back Zaidu Sanusi, 29, when the January transfer window opens. Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are among the clubs tracking Como midfielder Nico Paz, although the Serie A side have made clear they have no intention of selling the 22-year-old Argentina international.
