Manchester United head coach Eva Olid, Chelsea midfielder Erin Cuthbert and Ballon d'Or nominee Caroline Weir feature among the contenders for the Scottish Women's Football Awards 2026, according to BBC Sport. The shortlists span multiple categories recognising achievement across Scotland's women's football landscape.

Olid, a Spanish manager, earned her nomination after guiding Heart of Midlothian to their first Scottish Women's Premier League title in the previous season before relocating to manage in England's top division. She competes for coach of the year honours alongside Leanne Crichton of Rangers, whose team finished as runners-up in that campaign and currently sit atop the 2026-27 standings, Hibernian's Joelle Murray, and Jack Beesley, who secured Spartans' return to the top flight.

The SWPL 1 player of the year category features four attacking talents: Nicole Kozlova from Glasgow City, Saoirse Noonan representing Celtic, Katie Wilkinson of Rangers, and Georgia Timms, who departed Hearts to join Ipswich Town during the summer transfer window.

For Scotland international player of the year, the field includes Cuthbert and Weir, who transferred to Lyon from Real Madrid in the off-season. Lauren Davidson, the Brann winger whose standout display proved decisive in Scotland's World Cup qualifier victory, also appears on the shortlist. Completing the nominees is Kathleen McGovern, a striker who moved from Hibernian to Newcastle United.

The awards ceremony will take place at Hampden Park on 28 November, where all category winners will be revealed.
